Last week were delighted to welcome Mairi Gougeon - our Cabinet Secretary for the Rural Economy and Tourism to John Gilmour Butchers HQ.
We were excited to show her around our current facilities and showcase our detailed plans for the new state of the art processing facility at Victory Lane, Wallyford. We are so passionate about supporting Scottish farming, and are incredibly proud to supply some of the UK’s finest hospitality businesses with some of the best beef and lamb in the world.
A big thank you must go to Sarah Louise Milar and the Quality Meat Scotland team (Gordon Newlands and Tom Gibson) for their support in organising this visit. Thanks must also go to Peter at Field Fire Fork for doing justice to some gorgeous dry aged scotch ribeyes. The tenderness and depth of flavour was astonishing!
Scottish agriculture and the red meat industry in Scotland have so much to be proud of. We’re extremely proud to play our small part in this truly amazing industry.
